I know I'm a few days late to comment on Newcastle's win over Chelsea last weekend, but I have had issues with my laptop and had to get a new one.
Anyway, I'm fucking delighted with this result. I think that win last weekend over Chelsea could be the turning point in our season.
I tuned into the game early in the second half, but I had to turn it off as the nerves once again got the better of me when Mata made it 2-1 to Chelsea. But when I saw the final result, I was like how the fuck did we do that? Its not like us to do comebacks these days.
Beating Aston Villa last week was a crucial win for us, but this win over Chelsea today like I said earlier will/could be the turning point in our season because there is a bit of momentum now and confidence must be high now after winning two games in a row for the first time this season. I'm still keeping my feet on the ground and we still have a lot of work to do, but so far since adding quality players like Sissoko and Debuchy progress is looking good and it could get better when Ben Arfa comes back into the team.
On a couple of side notes, I have been really impressed by Sissoko so far and looks to be a real bargain for 2 million. I'm also liking the midfield three of Sissoko, Cabaye and Perch as there is a good blend there between the three of them.
I was disappointed to hear that Ba got booed by some of the Newcaste fans during the Chelsea game last weekend. He didn't say anything bad about the club when he left and was a great servant to the club while he was here. If it wasn't for Ba's goals last season we wouldn't have got 5th place in the table and if it wasn't for his goals in the first half of this season we would have been bottom of the table by now in my opinion.
Plus I can't blame him for leaving Newcastle either. As I have said before its not like he wasn't showing any ambition by leaving us because at Chelsea he now has the chance to win trophies, play in the Champions League and play with and against the best players in the world. I will always hold Ba in high regard and respect what he did for Newcastle during his time here.
