RE: Football Banter
The people on the goal line would need more influence than they do now if it was going to work. When I see them in the Champions League or Europa League, they just stand there like statues, even when theres a clear penalty in front them

More awful decisions
you can pull play back if necessary. refs do it all the time - just not when it concerns a goal! with the amount of time it takes to stop players from arguing, the 4th official could have the answer. it would stop things from escalating if players knew the correct decision had been made. the officials behind the goals are pointless. whenever i have seen them, they still manage to miss obvious penalties and other incidents.

re: Young - hopefully refs will catch on that he dives like they seem to have done with Suarez. i'd be happy if we sold him in the summer. i wanted him subbed straight away but Nani probably would have replaced him. swings & roundabouts! Tongue i wish he would stop ruining games for me, the mangy little fuck-rag.

as for the people that booed the minutes silence today - cunts, the lot of them. paying tribute to 96 - NINETY SIX!!! - people that died is more important than any game. i couldn't give two fucks if Chelsea had to play 2 Hours before the Barca game. some things are more important than football.

sometimes i hate football, but then i remind myself that it's not football that i hate - just the people that play and follow it at times.

Those people booing during the minutes silence were very disgusting human beings indeed. That is so disrespectful to those who lost their lives at Hillsborough and to the families that lost loved ones in that tragedy

i dont know if it was spurs fans or chelsea but it is disgusting, it wasnt just a liverpool tragedy but a football tragedy. when people loose their lives rivalry goes out the window, football is one game whether you hate a team or not its disrespectful.

The ball was cleared off the line and then the ref blew to give the goal. If he didn't blow to give the goal then play would have resumed without a goal given (obviously) but my point is, you can't carry on playing and then use the technology to give the goal next time there's a dead ball, just as you can't run to the referee to get him to stop the game to have the cameras checked whilst the ball is still in play just because you think the ball crossed the line.

Actually 8 of the 9 goal-line technology systems being tested DO NOT require the game to be stopped. Of the 9 systems approved for testing only Hawk-Eye would require the game to be stopped. The others work in real time and would not interfere with the flow of the game.

I think it is the 2nd of July we will find out if GLT will ever be introduced any time soon.

Thoughts on today’s game

1) Get in there!!!!! 5-1!!!!!! FA Cup Final!!!!!! Bring on the scousers!!!! Big Grin

2) Got very lucky with the second goal, although it’s not like it had a massive effect over the game with Bale effectively cancelling it out 6 minutes later. To be fair to the ref though this angle makes it a lot less conclusive:

3) The minute silence disruption honestly made me sick and I’m embarrassed that it was some Chelsea fans doing it. I was a bit worried with it being a late kick off giving idiots the opportunity to do drink and do stupid things,

4) Drogba’s a beast

RE: Football Banter
It will be a huge boost to football, when goal line technology comes in. It annoyed me a few weeks ago when Michel Platini and Phil Thompson recently said they don't want technology because fans would have nothing to talk about afterwards in the pub. What sort of excuse is that not to introduce goal line technology I don't want to talk about controversies in football, I want to talk about the match itself, about for instance how Messi scored beautiful goal against Man United for instance.

But lets be clear if goal line technology is introduced, doesn't mean all of footballs problems are solved. There are a lot of other issues that need sorting and more attention needs to be brought about them

Good win for Chelsea, I thought Drogba would be rested for the Barcelona game, because his physical presence will cause Barcelona's suspect defence problems in my opinion
