Ignore them Joey, it's your right to post .Just like to point out a few facts .
Leeds United were champions of England(91/92) more recently than Liverpool (89/90). Nottingham Forest's brief glory days were (77-80).
There's absolutely no problem harking back to anyone's glory days,afterall all clubs go through lean period's.
You never know , in a few years time ,there could be a certain clubs fans on here going on about "the good old days" when Sir Alex was manager .

Derby County managed to come back from 4-1 down to Ipswich last night...

The current "life expectancy" of a Championship manager is only between 1.5-2 seasons.Nigel Clough had 4 years at Derby ,so he's had twice the current average .It's only because of his Dad's connection with the club ,he's had the job in the first place .At the end of the day his results were not good enough .A few false dawns and then a slide back into mid-table .What is the cliche' the pundits use -"There's no room in Football for sentiment".

Anybody else is really fed up with international football breaking up the season every few weeks as soon as it gets going?

Yes. It's tiresome.
I could perhaps see more appeal to it from my point of view if England stood a realistic chance of winning the World Cup but there is more chance of an explicit naked 10 for 1 on a dayshow .
Bored stiff with all this international crap .

If England failed to qualify for tournaments and WERE NOT cancelling domestic fixture programmes .Everyone would be up in arms saying "we're at a disadvantage ,all the other countries do it ,why not us ?"
It's exactly why it was brought in .
Yes its frustrating , but it's a neccessary evil .

The international windows are compulsory under FIFA regulations. There is a published calendar giving dates on which no domestic fixtures may be arranged, unless there are no international players present on either side. So it's impossible for England or anyone else to have domestic fixtures during the international windows, even if they wanted to.

... we just said we were fed up of them breaking up the season... nobody was questioning the rules... you are wrong anyway as in Brasil, USA, and many other countries in South America the Domestic league still goes ahead during tournaments and internationals...
