Another cracking performance from Michael Shannon in one of most interesting sci fi films to be made in Hollywood for a long time.Looks and sounds splendid.Let down by measly extras.Only a few interviews.

Just bought Empire : Season 2(2015/16)

Got it for £20 from Home Bargains.A really enjoyable series once again let down on blu ray with no extras at all.

The Nice Guys(2016)is another film by Shane Black that I highly recommend.

Got it from Home Bargains for £10.


Set in 1977,the production design and soundtrack are brilliant and it looks and sounds amazing on blu ray.Character and script are the director's proirity here,hence why this film was superior to most of the other summer blockbusters(Independence Day 2,Ghostbusters).

A good pic on blu ray is Alice Through The Looking Glass.
Got it this morning for £12 from Sainsbury's.

Better than the first one and featuring a superb turn from Sasha Baron Cohen and also notable for being Alan Rickman's last performance as the voice of Absolem.Looks truly amazing in 1080p.

Highly recommend The Walking Dead : Season 6(2015/16)

Got it this morning from Sainsbury"s for £30.

A few slightly dodgy episodes aside,this turns out to be a great season.

I got it from a Sunday market for £6.


Fritz Lang's film about the assassination of Nazi Reinhard Heydrich by Czech resistance fighters is still a superb watch an amazing performance from Alexander Cranach as a Gestapo cop.
