Wenger has finally for me lost the plot. His policy is just an insult to all Arsenal fans and I feel the board must be eating too many prawn sandwiches to not notice how out of touch Wenger is with the transfer window. Surely at some stage this season he will either walk out on Arsenal or the fans will make the board force him out.

what can he do if the names he goes for dont want to come. you want him to buy every high cost playing going for which you will then be moaning about paying for useless players on high wages

wish you london club fans would stop whinging when u get champions league every year and every fan from every other club out of the top 4 would kill for a squad like yours and your style of play.

if wenger goes who replaces him and will they be able to get past top 4 Prob NO!!!

Hannah'spet i'm not an arsenal fan anyway!! I just find Wenger's transfer tactics baffling. A club of Arsenal's stature should have a quality about it and yesterday against Villa it was showed up as lacking that quality which it needs.

They could have signed Higuian if they would have paid the money Madrid wanted - the player didn't turn them down. Suarez has been up to all kinds of tricks to get a move (yes, even to Arsenal) yet the club don't stump up the kind of money you would need to for a player like that. They thought they could get him for a cheap 40m buyout clause and when they realised they couldn't, they went quiet. Again, the player didn't turn them down. Luis Gustavo, as if he would turn down Arsenal to go to Wolfsburg? No chance, they just didn't put the money up again! Jovetic the same! They try signing him months ago couldn't get a (cheap) deal done and he went to City for 22m - not exactly wallet busting money really, they were just being cheap again.


And now the season starts and he has bought nobody - again. Not one player (don't mention that french kid, there are a million of them at Arsenal already). Year on year he consistently misses out on top players because he wont spend top dollar. Top clubs don't operate like that.

Arsenal fans have every right to go mad, in my opinion. Their season ticket prices are ridiculous and where does all that money go?? It definitely doesn't go in the transfer kitty! Their fans pay top dollar for a 50 cents team*, its robbery.

I was very impressed with 17 year old Ross Barkley this weekend..

He was good on the ball, and can shoot with both feet..

He's already made the England under21 team and must be a youngster who gets fast tracked to the full international squad.

I predict Newcastle will lose 6-0 tonight.
