Browns 13 - 10 Packers
Upset of the week, the usually high scoring Packer led 10-0 with 3.45 remaining in the game. But then after a Browns field goal, Love threw an interception on their next drive & Judkins ran in from the 1 yard line & the XP tied the game up.
The drama wasn't over as a Packer field goal attempt was blocked to allow the Browns to snatch the win with a 55 yard Szmyt field goal.

I was bitterly disappointed with the Packers. Really poor game management. Fair play to Cleveland to keep going but we really screwed ourselves up.

Ravens 30 - 38 Lions
A great way to end week 3 with a masterful display by the Lions to subdue the Ravens just enough to gain victory,
The team went toe to toe for & traded touchdowns 2 apiece in the first 3 quarters.
When Gibbs ran in for his 2nd Td in the 4th quarter the Ravens were held to a field goal, but were moving the ball well on their next possession when Henry fumbled. The Lions could only manage a field goal which kept it to a one score game. By this point the Lions defence were controlling Jackson as much as is possible, the secondary covered the receivers & his scrambling was held in check with just 35 yards on 7 carries, he was under immense pressure from the pass rush & was sacked 7 times.
The game was still in the balance with the Lions in possession facing a crucial 4 & 2 at the 50 with just under 2 minutes remaining. It was a typical Campbell decision, many coaches would've punted, but Goff lofted a perfect pass to St Brown with the Ravens anticipating a run. On the next play Montgomery ran in from 31 yards for his 2nd TD to cap a stella performance with 151 yards from just 12 carries.
Jackson still found time to link up with Andrew for his 2nd TD on the game, but the on-side kick was recovered by the Lions who ran out the remaining seconds.

The ability for the Lions to eat up the clock with Gibbs & Montgomery worked in their favour. In all the Lions had 38 carries on the ground with the Ravens just 19. They maybe went away from Henry too early in the 2nd half, 12 carries in the game seems a little light given his game-breaking abilities. He now has a fumble in each of the first 3 games this season, which must be concerning.

A really enjoyable game with high quality quarterbacks at the peak of their powers, with very few incompletions & not one interception.

As first feared Nick Bosa will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, a massive loss for the Niners, irreplaceable.

Seahawks @ Cardinals - Friday 01.15am K/O

Cardinals 20 - 23 Seahawks
A slow burner of a game, that ignited in the 4th quarter. The Seahawks defence had limited the Cards to just 2 field goals through 3 quarters, equally strong against the run & pass, putting Murrey under pressure with a variety of looks & blitzes. Darnold by comparison looked calm & unhurried with TD drive that booked the 2nd & 3rd quarters. The lead was extended to 14 points with a Myers field goal in the 4th.
After struggling to link up with top receiver Harrison, Murrey found him in the end zone on a 16 yard pass. Myers missed from 53 yards to give the Cards a lifeline. They responded again with a Demercado 7 yard td catch, but resisted that chance to take the lead with a 2 point conversion, & tied it up with an extra point.
With 28 seconds remaining in the game, a penalty on the kick off gave the Seahawks excellent field position. A clutch side line pass stopped the clock & they showed faith in their kicker by running the ball before using their final timeout. This time Myers was good from 52 yards to win the game.
The NFC West looks very competitive, the Rams by far the strongest, Seahawks look solid, the 49ers maybe just ahead of the Cards.

Some really great live games today, the standout has to be Ravens (1-2) @ chiefs (1-2) with both teams misfiring the loser with find themselves in a bit of a hole at 1-3.

The next one to catch my eye is Colts (3-0) @ Rams (2-1), it will be interesting to see if the Colts are the real deal with QB Jones at the helm, they have had a couple of easy opposition, so this will be there toughest test to date.

Eagles (3-0) @ Buccs (3-0) looks like a mouth-watering contest for the battle to remain unbeaten. Has Mayfield got another comeback victory in his locker ?

Browns (1-2) @ Lions(2-1) sees the No.1 run stopping defence against the 4th ranked run offence, but overall the Lions all round package should win out.

Packers (2-1) @ Cowboys (1-2) see the return of Micah Parsons to the team that unwisely let him go.
