Neil Robertson has a bit of a look of James Acaster, is it? Somebody very obvious. But not so obvious I can remember definitively

At least Selby & GWilson are likely to go nearly the whole distance, given the number of matches which have proved so one-sided.

Lisowski should kick himself, a quarter-final with his old mate Milkins, and then a first semi-final with nothing to lose. Instead we all have to hope Si knocks spots off McGill.

Si Jiahui has completed a 13-7 victory over Robert Milkins to reach the last eight.

Mark Selby is through after a comfortable 13-7 win over Gary Wilson. He faces John Higgins in the quarter finals.

Lisowski did well to win 7 out of 8 frames, and really badly to lose 10 out of his first 11. His nickname must be The Human Smirk, and it will serve him right.

Mark Allen and Jak Jones have served due notice of an excellent quality clash developing in the first session this morning.
Both men piled in with some impressive breakbuilding before a tense final frame of the session went the way of the Northern Irishman to level at 4-4 heading into the evening session.

Ronnie O'Sullivan trailed Luca Brecel 1-2 but then found another gear to win five frames on the spin to take a 6-2 lead after session one.

Both the other two quarter finals are level at
4-4 after the respective opening exchanges.
John Higgins led 4-1 but Mark Selby surged back to parity.
Si Jiahui also led 4-1 but Anthony McGill recovered to level the scores.
Both matches resume tomorrow.

There'll be no finishing a session early this time. Might even be some good old final frame deciders.
