UKIP had big 2 page ad in the telegraph saying dont believe the torys will give u a referendum but on the front page is Iain duncan smith tell ukip voters vote UKIP and is like signing a Suicide note for britain

I still reckon a referendum is possible even under a lib dem conservative coalition again providing tories are flexible on lib dem red line demands.

get the feeling it might make the tory backbenchers behave themselves talking about voting down any coalition if they get the referendum that many of them want

Oh yes, it can and will be a lot worse. The SNP will only be interested in syphoning off as much cash as possible and getting Faslane & Coulport closed so wee Jimmy Krankie and mad Alec McMad can claim victory over the evil English.

Meanwhile, Hapless Ed, Harridan Harperson and Ed Balls-Up will be pissing money away like there's no tomorrow employing a new army of 5 a Day Coordinators and Equality Enforcement Officers. The last 5 years will seem like a Holiday Camp if there's any sort of Labour / SNP deal. I have no love at all for the Conservatives or LibDims but a lot of people seem to forget what a monumental fuck up Blair & Brown made of the economy and gave them exactly the excuse they needed to engage in a slash & burn operation.

Well, I voted Tory today (postal vote) That might sound like a wasted vote up here but I'm in David Mundell's constituency, so it's probably the only place in Scotland where it is worth a punt.
Ordinarily I would also be seriously considering SNP, and I have voted that way in the past, back before it became apparent Salmond was just on an ego-fueled power trip. Nicola Sturgeon has been impressive during this campaign, though, and has certainly come into her own since she got rid of the obnoxious, conceited little git that's been holding her back all these years. In fact I'd go so far as to say that if they'd ditched Eck and let her front the Yes campaign, they would have won.
For me, though, the risks in voting SNP are too high. Firstly there's the chance that she'll give Ed the keys to Downing St and let him play at running the country
Then there's the possibility it will increase the chances of another bloody referendum

There is talk up here that the SNP could win every seat (which is possible) but I think that will be a bad day for democracy, imo. A bit like having a government with no opposition. Thankfully that can't happen next year when the really important election takes place

It will be interesting to see how this pans out for the SNP. They're obviously going to do well, it's just a question of how well. One political commentator was saying the massive surge in party membership was more likely to be existing supporters finally putting their money where their mouth is, than actual converts, so may not transfer as an increase in votes in the same ratio.

I cannot understand why anybody would even consider voting for any of the so called 3 main parties in England. In the last few years they have treated the electorate with nothing but contempt, manifestos not worth the paper they are written on, broken promises and downright lies. Corruption, greed, sex scandals, the list is endless. They have the nerve to dismiss the fringe parties as racists, lunatics and fruitcakes, that may or may not be true but at least they actually believe in the policies they campaign for. Personally i will be voting for UKIP and tomorrow will be going to South Thanet to help get Nigel Farage elected (hopefully). I know the fringe parties get a lot of negative publicity but can anybody really blame people for voting for them after the way they have been betrayed?

The reason why i would never vote UKIP is what happened yesterday with the prospective candidate who was suspened for saying if tory opponant wasnt british enough cos his family came from Sri lanka in the 70's so he wasnt british enough and if he had a chance he would put a bullet through his head these seem to be happening week after week with UKIP

It doesn't matter what party they stand for hearing about what candidate being suspended is almost a daily occurrence. The one thing I guess is missing the Monster Raving Loony Party candidates and the BNP hardly a word from them with their manifesto yet we all know what they would stand for.

Is it just me or has this been the most uninspiring election campaign in living memory ?

I'm sure there are a lot of people who will find it uninspiring like you. I think they should personally cut down electioneering to two weeks before the election.
