Your right, it is Di Canio, I'm getting confused with my Italian Rolleyes
You want to see the cock ups that I make when going out to my local Ristorante.

Paolo Di Canio confirmed as Sunderland manager .
David Miliband resigns from board in protest ,due to Di Canio's political leanings .

I think sunderland's best bet would have been to keep O'neil until the end of the season then find somebody new over the summer, to me it just seems as though they have paniced and found anybody available, there are far more experienced managers they could have chosen for the job, Di Matteo, Curbishley..

While I agree at this stage of the season that they should have kept O'neil until the summer I do applaud them for at least taking on a certain gamble with choosing Di Canio. His political leanings aside, he is an unknown quantity at this managerial level. However, everytime a manager is sacked the same old boring merry go round ensues as a replacement is sought, Curbishley, Bruce, Hughes, McLaren et al. Why would anyone choose one of these underachievers. You may as well stick with the manager you sacked as employ one of these as you will only be going through the same process again in a few months.

I didn't mean one of those for the long term just to keep them up, although I thought with o'neil in charge they would have stayed up anyway, I don't think Sunderland would really be able to attract a bigger named manager anyway, I think if they wanted to put somebody incharge now for longer term somebody like Gus Poyet would have been a better choice.

RE: Football Banter
Di canio said his parents taught him about these fascists views so its not him that suddenly became embroiled in that, perhaps he should have not taken their views but its his choice at the end of the day, he ain't using that to rebel against a football club, he knows that football and his views are two different things and he aint gonna be stupid like he did when he was playing for lazio.

Fair play to miliband for securing a charity job in the US but in my view he just used di canio's appointment as a way of getting out of Sunderland quickly, he never met the guy and already he hates him
