Lucky i don't have to support England Wink they always make a meal out of everything, if they have any hopes of winning any more trophies they should be beating teams like montenegro, 2 draws against them really is not good enough, without lennon, walcott, oxlade chamberlain there isn't enough pace or creativity at all, lampard should have come on too, after seeing england I can see them actually getting knocked out of the playoff and not making it which would be a shame. But the reality is teams such as France, Portugal, Turkey who are all very decent teams who england could meet if they don't top their group which now looks unlikely.

Carrick can pass but will never score, and Welbeck is all pace but not a strong finisher. We should've have started players who are on form (no matter what there clubs say) we should've played Sturridge and Lampard

Carrick is not expected to score, he's a holding midfielder.

Don't give me that lame excuse

Well how many do you expect him to score?Huh

He shouldn't be judged on how many goals he scores, but on his passing ability and his creativity.

It's really down to rooney, welbeck, sturridge ect to score, the midfield should be doing a lot more creative work, People don't rely or expect lucas leiva to score for liverpool, same applies to carrick or any other players in that position.

RE: Football Banter
Wasn't a surprising result at all last night. We've now played every team in this group, we've won 3 vs. San Marino (twice) & Moldova, so no real achievement there. Our other 3 games vs. Montenegro, Poland & at home to Ukraine all ended 1-1. That's the level we're at now. It's all well and good beating Brazil, Italy, Spain etc. in friendlies, but when it matters we struggle big time against half decent sides

We still have a great chance at finishing top of the group, but we could just as easily finish 4th

I agree Carrick's not expected to score, but for someone who's such a good striker of the ball he should score more often than he does in my opinion

Now the Martin O Neal's gone I can see Sunderland going down and not stopping.
They could be in Division 1 in autumn 2015

It was both Steve Bruce and Martin o Neil's fault for not making use of the money available, ellis short kept giving money to spend but it was always wasted, managers are to blame.

Danny graham is a fool, should have stayed and collected a carling cup medal than move in the summer

Oh it just hit me, Steve mclaren is free why not try him?
