Clearly I've been sold a pup in the results I've been following as Neil Robertson was still in it up to this afternoon, whilst Ali Carter, who I understood to have been knocked out early doors, is still in it. This is odd/disappointing.

Carter did get knocked out in the round of 16 though. Tubs saw off Trump, and is one of 4 top 16 guys left in the quarters, balanced out by longer shots like Mitchell Mann and Anthony "grumpy Van Morrison lookalike" McGill.

Shaun Murphy has tonight dispatched Mitchell Mann 5-1 to set up a last four clash with Selby. John Higgins is through to face McGill after a 5-2 victory against Louis Heathcote.
