I might be a United fan but have to agree that Fergie was over the top in his comment and lets himself down when he says things like this. It was a physical game at times, but thats what you want in a football match. Credit to Swansea for holding out in the second half to earn a draw.

i understand fergie went over the top totally agree but williams said after the game he never meant to do it! do u think he meant 2 do it cos his eyes never seemed to leave van persie. and this is the same ashley williams who sed sumthin about suarez is it not?

Lol it's true he said he wanted to beat him up or something but still come on its not like his evil to target someone specifically on their head, it's just fergie didn't need to say the bit about a ban, he voiced his view on the issue which is enough, no need to discuss punishments when he has no control over

You look closely and it does look like Williams eyes are targeting Van Persie but that still doesn't give reason for Fergie to make such a comment. Never yet heard of anyone being murdered by a football

totally agree fergies comments are way overboard and like sum1 said probably made that comment to deflect how poorly his team played! i do believe williams meant to do it though.

fergies a cunt end of, like me and many others have said, everytime United looses points or plays shit he comes out with bullshit like this so the media don't focus on the fact that they played shit.... he's a disgrace, look at paul lambert after the 8 - 0 yesterday, he took it with dignity still intact like a man, Ferguson on the other hand is a man I have no respect for.

Personally I think it was an accident and it was pretty much same time as the whistle was blowing, so it wasn't after the whistle, even if he did do it on purpose nobody can prove it, and if he did, fairplay it's a man united player lol if anything van persies reaction warrents a punishment alone.. and ferguson should be fined for his comments, any other manger would be.
