I believe Henry is already training with Arsenal, as he has before during the off season (he can't sign to play until the january window).
The talk of him coaching came from Usmanov, the russian second-largest shareholder at Arsenal, but he isn't even a board member, so his views carry little weight.

Henry should just rest for the new mls season, we have to sign another striker for sure but for now just carry on with Walcott up front considering we play Wigan, west ham, Newcastle and Southampton for the next 4 games

I agree. Walcott's weakness is when he has time to think with the ball, he is best with as little time as possible, just reacting instinctively, so in the middle is ideal for him, I can't understand why Wenger has taken so long to realise that. There is also Giroud, and even Podolski as cover, so no need for Henry, it would be like saying to those guys you aren't good enough so we need this old guy for a few games. Henry served a purpose last year, I'm not sure he does this year.

Speaking of strikers, I had a crazy idea the other day, could Arsenal make a cheeky bid for Darren Bent. I've never been a big fan of Bent, but he does score goals. I could see him doing a job at Arsenal, but I'd see him alongside Walcott, as a front two, Walcott's speed, and Bents physical presence, and I can't see Wenger playing that way. Arsenal are building a strong english backbone in the team though, so adding Bent would fit with that.

I think the jury is still out on Walcott if he will ever be able to play as a striker.

He played well last night for Arsenal in that position and caused Reading a lot of problems with his pace. But lets remember it was only against a Reading, who have a shit defence and look certainties to go down this season. But despite Walcott playing well, he did waste a couple of great chances and only scored a goal against a Reading team that were already beaten. I still think Walcott will leave Arsenal in January because he would have signed on the dotted line already if he wanted to stay at Arsenal. I think Walcott using the fact that he wants to play through the middle is a smoke screen for wanting more money. Does he honestly expect to be the main striker at a club like Liverpool, Chelsea or Man City when his finishing abilities are still questionable? If Walcott does leave Arsenal then I fear his career may slide like Nasri were I think Wenger said that Nasri didn't complete his development as a player and the same may be true for Walcott.

I'm not sure about Giroud yet for Arsenal. His techincal ability is superb and he works his socks off for the team, but I feel he is a bit slow paced and slows down Arsenal on the counter attack. But he does give Arsenal a different aspect to how they play and a few weeks ago he was starting to show the form that made him such a prolific goal scorer with Montpellier.

I don't think Podolski will ever play as a striker for Arsenal and I still feel his best position is on the left wing. But if Wenger was willing to give Gervinho a chance in the striker's role then I don't see why Wenger can't experiment with Podolski through the middle in a match in the future.

PS Just read on the Daily Mail that Walcott has held peace talks with Wenger, so I could be wrong in thinking Walcott will leave Arsenal in January.

I'd have Walcott at Chelsea if we, and it looks like we will, sell Studge to Liverpool. Only if we play him as a striker though, I can't remember the last time we had one with lightning speed. And we've spent about £80m on a team shaped towards a quick forward (Torres of 07-09)

Plus with Sturridge, Lampard & Cole leaving we could do with some English players in our team

I see what u mean as we will get a bigger idea when he plays against the other top sides but giroud lacks pace so it's easy for let's say shawcross to deal with him, theo will help stretch defenders which happened at reading

Im liking the fact that finally we have a strong core of british players coming through, i liked when cesc, nasri, song were playing but they were never gonna end their careers here, atleast we know that it's highly likely that the brits will stay for ever lol.

I always complained that podolski does nothing for the left Wing but if he does what he did at reading and he actually wants to work harder than there's no problem with him, he picked out a intelligent ball for cazorla's fourth and more importantly we need his experience
