959's extremely small print says the broadcast we see may be delayed up to 15 seconds. How does that work with these previously recorded shows?

It also says if the girl on screen is on a call you will be offered the option of listening in. Again, how does that work if she is not there to take a call.

This is a pretty devious way of treating customers and I would certainly urge them to get a "recorded earlier" graphic up there or market this as "eavesdrop on classic BB action" if they are going to do it. At least that way those who want to call in might not feel they are being tricked into calling to speak to a girl who is actually not there.

I don't think this will be the death knell unless tossoffcom get complaints or proactively take action against them for this. We have seen stations in a bad way before and recover. In fact, was Cathy Barry at Cellcast when they were going down the tubes too? Not sure if that's something to do with it. Either way they need to be very careful and raise their game a bit.

its not Cathy Barry or any of the ladies fault, they all show up and do there job. but its the way the show is put together the blame lays with the producers and no one else

At the time I'm making this post is channel 959 running a non live pre record of Emily? As Last night Emily had long brown hair tonight she got short blonde hair. Also the clock on the wall displays 4 O'Clock except its 11:15 . I know she could of had hair extentions in the other night but Emily looks different again.

Yes they are, they have been doing this for quite a while now, just showing pre-recorded content!

How scandalous. Surely they could land themselves in trouble by advertising a live interactive show and go ahead and run old pre-record content. I'm not a fan of ofcom but this is the kind of thing that is actually in the interest of the viewer to complain about.

I believe that they have in the Very small print under the normal OSG some kind of statement to the effect that the show isnt live and so therefore arent going to get in trouble. I havent looked myself as i have poor eyesight (and dont wear glasses lol) so trying to decipher that would really give me a headache

I read on this forum some were but not sure were that someone had posted that Cathy Barry is one of the people responsible for the production and content of the shows , don't know this myself but just read it on here . Amanda Rendall used to say that one of the hands on boss's that is present in the studios at night is a lady and she used to call her "the boss lady" , Cathy Barry perhaps ? .

Small print is an understatement.


What it says is "We cannot guarantee connection to an on screen girl", which, IMHO is not the same as informing callers that it isn't a live service.

Sneaky at best, completely underhand at worst.

The small on screen print is now different to what it was when they first started showing the recordings , in the middle of the small print it used to so that "you will NOT be connected to the on screen girl" , those words have now been removed for some reason
