They definitely need to buy a midfielder in January like Busquets or Tiote

january would be too late. also newcastle will ask for £30m+ for tiote or cabaye.

we all on here know their midfield is weak but i cant understand why 1 of the supposedly great managers doesnt recognise this lol. he bought this powell and he will never get a game cos he keeps playing giggs scholes carrick and they have got no legs lol. he spent money on 4wards when he has defenders injured all the time Huh

The hand of Ba got us a point today.

Anyway Newcastle still getting some good results, but are not performing well

Although the signings of Van Persie and Kagawa are good for Man United, I'm also confused Fergie pushed so hard to sign those players, as its not like last season Man United struggled for goals. Man United need a midfielder and a defender and if they sign those type of players, they will be a force very hard to stop

Its like everyone else can see the main problems at Man United except Fergie. People can say Fergie knows best, but if he doesn't wake up and smell the coffee then Man United are going to suffer for it

I am a firm fan of Fergie and I think most detractors would have loved a manager of his capability to be in charge of their team over the last 25 odd years. For my very first visit, I was taken to see Utd play back in 1975 when they had been relegated. From then on until when Fergie took over they were always a nearly team-many years without a league title but luckily the board gave him time to mould a team that changed all that.
So having said that I have to admit I am puzzled why he bought van Persie in the summer and not a top quality midfielder who can keep, distribute and tackle. We have been crying out for this for several seasons and propping up a midfield with two aging legends is not really the answer. It cannot even be said that the Glazers are to blame as they provided the money. I just hope that both Vidic and Fletcher get fully fit as soon as possible.

yeah like u just said hes spent the money in the summer but seems to have spent it in the wrong place. there seems to be certain players their who are always injured, is this a coincidence or are they doing something wrong in training cos it makes you wonder. i have noticed a number of times hes had to put people like valencia, carrick and fletcher in defence.

United have done a deal with a leading medical company who are going to build a state of the art medical sports injury facility for Utd. I believe it is going to be cutting edge technology. Should have plenty of practice at United Rolleyes
