Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia has declared her intention to file articles of impeachment against Joe Biden the day after his inauguration on the grounds of abuse of power .

Honestly you just couldn't make this stuff up

She's a QAnon supporter.

That's all you need to know about her.

Whether you're a Trump supporter or not, the impeachment was another bone-headed move.
Driving yet another wedge between the American people and for what? To stop him running in 2024? Now why would they need to do that? Why would they want to do that? A Democratic vote - right?
It doesn't sound like they are prepared to pin much hope on Biden.

I’ve gotta admit, I don’t really see the logic of it either.

Despite all the current mood music, I’m still sceptical that the Senate will convict, which means Trump gets to be the President that beat impeachment twice.

But it seems SO bone-headed that part of me thinks there must be some angle I’m not seeing.

E.g. maybe they are less interested in getting Trump — who will soon be an irrelevance — than they are in the trial itself. That will give them an opportunity to put in plain sight and on the record the fact that the election was NOT stolen, hopefully putting that ridiculous conspiracy theory to rest. That wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing, as it seems to be the issue that has gotten people so enraged.

Or maybe they’ve calculated that this will be the fissure that divides the Republican Party in two? (I’m doubtful — tempers are hot, but they’ll cool in a week)

Or maybe it is just plain outrage — as in, how can you NOT impeach a President who incites a mob against his own legislature? But if that’s the reason, then I still don’t get the logic — there are better remedies for that.

I don’t agree with letting a guy off who tried to overthrow the election & a legally elected government. That makes no sense. This should be about convicting a criminal.

Oh and he has still not issued a concession or admitted he lost the election so I look forward to a Democratic led Senate holding a trial, presenting all the evidence and ok they might not get the 60 votes needed to convict but the fact will be out there. All this divisive bollocks is rubbish. Let me hear all those insurgents confess they were wrong because at present they still planning trouble next week.

It turns out that of the 13 people arrested from the Capitol incident that none of them were active users on Parler. The stimulation of violence and extremism was in fact performed on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
So we have democratic politicians within the Democratic party demanding Google and Apple kick Parler despite the fact it had nothing to do with them. Censorship from Silicon Valley who are in partnership with the Democratic party and who just happen to donate and pour huge amounts of money into them.

So they are displaying huge levels of underhanded tactics whilst trying to persuade half of America that there was no fraud

Investigations into the rioters has uncovered that several of the rioters had a tour of the 'House' the day before.
A couple of off duty police officers are being investigated for being involved with the riot.
That the riot was not spontanious and that it was planned.

Investigators are now following the money, looking to see who's paid for the rioters travelling costs, hotels etc.

You clearly have not been seeing some of the messages that were on Parler. Not disputing use of the other sites but they have taken action. Parler refused

Parler's terms of service include a ban on explicit advocacy of violence and they have a paid team of moderators who delete such postings.
