The French League have confirmed that the ban will roll over into his campaign with France, meaning Barton will have to wait until the clash with Bordeaux on November 18 to make his Ligue 1 debut

I bet he thought his ban wouldn't mean a thing if he moved abroad!!
I hope he's made sure he's swotted up on his french swear words!! I wouldn't be surprised if he was sent off in his first game!! BTW was it a loan move or a permanent for him? If it was permanent, I hope he stays in France I don't want him bac in the UK with his tail between his legs!!

It must be so hard to keep in shape all year round and maintain peak fitness and performance for at least 9 months of that year. It must be so hard filling up the hours in a day, training and practising when you have so many modelling contract to fulfil, so much money to spend and so many women to bone.
It must make you feel really 'sad' when you wake up mid morning and think "Which Ferrari should I drive to training today?" It must be so tough going to play football in almost any weather conditions with adoring fans screaming your name and the camera's fixed to you. It must be even harder to maintain your form when the rain is beating down on your face and the gel drips into your eyes.
It must be such a worry to wonder where your next million pounds will come from. It must really make you so 'sad' to no know what you're going to do once you retire. I dread to think how 'sad' it must make a man feel when they don't know where they're going to spend their summer holidays, and it must make him feel so upset when he is crusing in a speed boat and he see's Mr Abramovic and wonders why he didn't get an invite.

Cor, I feel 'sad' for Ronaldo now just mentioning the very things that could possibly upset the poor bugger.

Let's all offer Ronaldo a cuddle and our support in these trying times, and let's hope he gets through it okay. Rolleyes

I bet his not getting enough attenton off the field as his teammates are either!! I wonder how many spanish babes are offering him sex on a plate compared to his team mates? I wonder if the MLS would be a good move for him?

does this mean then that fans get a boardroom representative on the board at football clubs?

will never work here. rovers fans have started a trust trying to buy the club. but only way i could see somethine like this happening was someone with the money themselves stumping it up and then agreeing to give more and more stake in the club over time

no bank would give a surporters group any money without insurances they would get it back

I'm sure that Barton knew the rules.

i read article on bbc website on why cry baby diving winking prima donna ballarena fuck wit is sad at real madrid. in short eto'o gets £200k+ a week, aguero gets £200k + a week, zaltan ib gets £200k+ a week and they are probably as good as cry baby at real madrid also due to spain's new tax laws the government will take 40% of his wages and real madrid cannot afford £300k a week wages. cry baby sees being the highest paid footballer in the world has being the best player ever. money does not make you the best ever its what you do on and off the pitch that makes you the best ever in the eyes footballing fans around the world.

RE: Football Banter
I have never been so pessimistic going into an International qualifying campaign. I don't think Ireland are good enough to even get a play off in our World Cup qualifying group. I see us finishing 4th behind Germany, Sweden and Austria in that order.

Looking at the lineup for our match against Kazakhstan, there is not much to be positive about.

- We are still playing 4 4 2
- We have left out Long (our best striker) for Keane, who is past it.
- We have no McClean or Coleman, so instead we play Cox, who isn't even a wingerbladewave

Then we have problems that are not Trappatoni's fault.

- Westwood, who is our first choice keeper is not playing much at club level.
- We have an ageing defence and the young ones that our meant to be the successors are either not good enough, not playing enough or not playing at a high enough level in club football. Clark is the only good defender coming through.
- Our centre midfield is a disaster. McCarthy is playing against Kazakhstan tonight, but only by default because Andrews is suspended.
- We have 2 strikers in Keane and Doyle, who are out of form and Long, who is the form striker is not even getting in the team.
- We still look painfully predictable as well.

Irish football is in serious need of a revamp

Ireland will scrape a win tonight 0-1 and it won't be a convincing win by any means
