The Conservative majority Supreme Court of The United States with 3 Trump appointees has rejected The Trump case of Pennsylvania voter fraud, 9-0

In other news 49 out of 50 states certified their elections today with West Virginia to do so tomorrow. The electors will then go to Congress next week to make it official, which i believe is the final step before inauguration

He'll still refuse to concede defeat even then....

I believe there is a final, largely ceremonial step where the President of the Senate — i.e. Mike Pence — has to accept the electoral college votes of every state.

Makes for an uncomfortable afternoon for Pence, who will have to abide by the law, on one hand, but keep his Master happy on the other.

I imagine he will dutifully accept the electoral college votes from the representative of Georgia, then wink at the camera and mouth the word ‘fraud’.

A Republican Congressman has already announced he will oppose the Electoral College Vote and he is trying to get a Republican Senator to oppose as well. If that happens then it gets a bit messier in that The Senate & The House of Representatives have to vote. Clearly as the Democrats control The House of Representatives then any attempt to overturn the election would fail but it will cause more trouble in accepting the will of the people.

it's going to get very messy now probably will delay the inauguration and one can only asume that both houses will be at loggerheads for months over this and i don't think the US public will styand for logjam much longer and let's face it they have to sort it it for the good of the country as a whole pretty quickly. but you can rest assured Trump won't keep quiet

TBF Democrats did that in 2016 too.

They would submit the Electoral College votes to Biden and then follow-up with a ‘point of order’ or a ‘motion’ to change or deny the votes. And Biden would cut them off, essentially denying the motion.

It has happened in other elections too, but it is always just to make a point. The objecting Senator doesn’t expect to he heard; he/she just does it to get their objection on the record.

The difference this time is that Republicans have whipped up a bit of a frenzy around the ‘fraudulent’ nature of this election. So when they do it this time it will seem ‘real’ to a lot of people, rather than the bit of political theatre that it is.

Trump has said on several occasions that the Supreme Court should come to his aid, but of 67 election lawsuits launched only 2 so far have even reached the Supreme Court (both from the same state, Pennsylvania). He isn't finished yet though - expect more appeals to the Supreme Court in the coming days.

The Texas Attorney General is trying to get The Supreme Court to take up his case that 4 states acted illegally in how they ran the election. I doubt they’ll agree to hear it but interestingly he is himself under indictment for corruption. There is a belief that by supporting Trump now he’s after getting a pardon as his alleged offence is a Federal crime.

Would Supreme Court be in a position to have him immediately arrested if he was to turn up in person on said indictment charge?
