The Valentine's Day Ep will focus on Alex and Maggies relationship

Whee! Finished episode 8. Quite a nice way to summarise and close off recent episodes. I did think it was odd the week before that Cadmus should get Kara's blood, just so Hank could pour it on his hand. That's really the best they could do?!

Anyway, having wondered what order the crossover worked in, I see that it's blatantly obvious (ahem), so might manage to get those finished before Tuesday's return to action.

At which point I can fall massively behind again

Ep 12 "Luthors" synopsis

LENA IS ARRESTED – After Metallo (guest star Frederick Schmidt) breaks out of prison and frees Lillian Luthor (guest star Brenda Strong), the police blame Lena (guest star Katie McGrath) for his escape and arrest her. Despite overwhelming evidence, Kara (Melissa Benoist) refuses to believe her friend is guilty and fights to clear Lena’s name. Flashbacks reveal how Lena came to be a Luthor. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) celebrate their first Valentine’s Day together.

Managed to get through the crossover episodes (no point crashing other threads about it). The story was broadly plausible, but an interesting glimpse into other shows, some of which seem more interesting than others. I did like that each episode was focused on its own regular cast the most (Flash saves the day in his episode, Arrow is basically one of those "best of" things).

A few crossover moments were counter-intuitive and though the ending sets up possible future crossovers (and I suppose if ratings call for it, then it's a certainty), I'm still not sold on how amazing they are. But then, I am old enough to know it's a childish thing to do these things in the first place.
