Chelsea have taken a early one nil lead, looks like this season there stepping up a gear.

Game over in my opinion for Newcastle. I knew 4 4 2 would be suicide for us, we should never, ever play 4 4 2 again

AVB took off Defoe and replaced him with Jenas i thought it was April Fools at first lol, i take it back about AVB his a tactically geniuses Pmsl.

Disappointed to lose today against Chelsea. Before the game though at the back of my mind, I always thought it would be difficult to get anything out of the game, as the majority of the time we don't do well away at Chelsea.

We played ok today, but we really need to stop playing 4 4 2 against teams that play 5 midfielders, its just impossible to get control of the game when you play 2 centre midfielders against 3. The 4 4 2 formation for me is a dying formation and its ancient. We look a better team when we play 4 3 3.

I would like to see Perch put in defence more often, perhaps instead of Simpson.

Still though a decent start to the season, 3 points against Tottenham and Chelsea is an ok start in my opinion
