Vikings S6 Ep20.

I really enjoyed this show, it's just a shame it took so long to catch up, but the fucking about by the History channel didn't exactly help.
I'm happy with how they ended it, and I'm hopeful that Vikings Valhalla (set 100 years after) doesn't disappoint.

If you haven't watched Vikings, I highly recommend it.

RE: What TV show did you last watch?
Banksy 'and the rise of outlaw art'. Sky Arts

I reached two main conclusions (aside from mere enjoyment of the aesthetics). One was what I had previously thought but had solidified in my own mind and the other?? - the same but in terms of the 'definition' of what art is and the difference between price and value!

1) Take away 'Banksys' anonymity and therefore mystique and you are left with a level of 'art' that the masses could produce (and in many different ways, do exactly that!!!) It is not the image but the 'hunt for identity' that sells this guy. I also thought that given his 'principles' on the purchase of and accessibility too art for the common 'man' that he had largely 'sold out'

2) I have always been clear on what I define as art - the creative process as much as the end result - and seeing the two 'types' of 'art' side - by - side as it were ie Banksy and his gangs stenciling, and the so - called 'grafitti' of wall/train murals created free hand with spray cans, leaving aside the 'illegal means' argument, there is no doubt in my mind where the 'value' lies.

I often wondered how such talented works could be described as graffiti, and deemed 'beyond the pale'. Would we not prefer such 'street art', to the alternative of dilapidated run down buildings etc. How much better off would we have been if - instead of pursuing such talented people as 'criminals' - we had instead used those undoubted talent(s) in a proper way. A lost generation of graphic designers. Of course, for many, the kick of acting illegally and therefore being revered within their peer groups(s) may have been the biggest draw, and they may not have been interested in mainstream art production.

Ep 3: The Fear Index. Aside from being taken on a mind bender where it is hard to fathom where this thing goes next, I am keen to get my hands on that Market prediction algorithm. World domination awaitsBig Laugh

Yeah, I mis-titled a series I've been watching for years. And took a week to notice.
