I was slightly disappointed with the outcome of how this 10 part season ended. The season overall had some good parts to it but it wasn't the best season of Dexter that I've seen but it was still pretty good. Great to see Jennifer Carpenter pop up in a few episodes, Clancy Brown was as menacing as ever and some of the new characters like Jamie Chung were a welcome addition.

I still think that one of the main reasons for bringing the Dexter character back was the poor ending of the original series. Given that the finale could've been stronger, yet still 100% better. I got the impression that it all came in a bit of a rush at the end, & they could've made so much more of it, although the idea itself was sound.
Mixed reviews stateside, but decent viewing figures. A possibility of a second series, with plenty of mileage in the character of Dexter's son.

They've basically lost all the goodwill this season had built up in the finale, again, that's why people aren't happy. But hey, poorly executed finales is something they do well at least. lol. For me, this should have been either a season 2 finale, or they needed to bring in what happened in the last two episodes sooner, meaning this ending would have had a slightly longer build up, which was much needed.

Billions - Season 3 Episode 1 - Tie Goes To The Runner.

I've been rewatching Billions from the start after recently watching the end to season 5 and also season 6 begins on 23 January 2022 and I've just got to the start of season 3.This episode introduces Clancy Browns character as Walton 'Jock' Jeffcoat (an Attorney General) - I'd forgotten how good he is in this season and some of the dialogue throughout this season and the jousting between his character and Paul Giamatti's 'Chuck Rhoades' is brilliant imo. I always liked Billions from when I first started to watch it and it doesn't let up throughout each season. Excellent viewing imo and Maggie Siff is hot, especially in her dominatrix outfit in season 1 lol. Worth a look for anyone that hasn't seen it, although it can be a bit of a slow burn at times, it's more character driven but still great stuff
