really gutted today, have waited 6 years of a home game on boxing day and when it happens along cums a thunder storm 30 mins before kick off and floods the pitch Sad even god is against us this year Wink

on a happier note i am getting a new ground on new years day when i go to millwall, going to be the first time i have been to an away ground and not had my colors on, i would call it a sort of darby as their is that much hate between the 2 sets of fans, so should be a great atmosphere Big Grin

Plymouth Argyle have relieved Carl Fletcher of his duties following the 2-1 defeat at Bristol Rovers.

Fletcher gave this emotional interview shortly after being told he had been sacked.

Although I'm obviously not a Plymouth fan, I do think he was a decent guy and a bright young manager. He done a lot for Plymouth and considering the ups and downs they had he done a decent job too. Results in the last month or so haven't been so good and sadly in football that is what happens.

Good luck to Fletcher in whatever he decides to do in the future.

well at long last there is something to be happy about for a city fan lake me, we have got rid of McClueless Big Grin he was a nice guy but the championship was above his abilities, i would put him in the top 3 worst managers i have seen at city just behind Benny Lennartsson and the pure evil that was Tony Pulis annoyed
if we can get it right this time we could still get out of it as we have one of the best squads we have ever had
it looks like it could be Sean O'Driscoll who did so well at forest and donny if true i would be very happy with that appointment

Really pleased that we beat the pikey scum 2-1 and completed a double over them Big Grin We certainly needed a win as we hadn't had one since New Year's Day. Now we've got a huge game at Watford this Friday. Get something out of that and we're right back on track.

The change in manager is just what Rovers needed. John Ward is a great manager and has organised the defence. I'm gutted we threw away the chance to take 3 points off you when you were poor, but now you've picked up form and you're leaving us behind. You've brought in some decent players since too which has made the difference. I expect you to finish the season strongly, it still isn't impossible to finish in the play off places, that's how tight and competitive the league is.

Alex McLeish has left Forest after just six weeks and seven games in charge. Absolutely ridiculous what's happening there. Cloughie must be turning in his grave Huh

I'd guess it was something to do with the farce on deadline day when the owner pulled the plug on that player he'd almost signed. The owners there are absolute idiots. It wasn't that long ago when they were in the play-off places. Sean O' Driscoll was doing well and they fired him.

Shame how a chairman can ruin a football club.. Sad
