Man Utd to win all 5 trophies (NOT!!)

I've stopped going to football for afew years now. Let's face it, the standard of top class football these days is quite poor. Compare today's Man U team to the treble team, today's Arsenal to 97/98 double team or the untouchables of 03/04 & today's Liverpool to the team in 87/88. Today's game hasn't got the style & flair of the past.

I blame Mourinho for that. He was the man who proved you could win the league by playing one striker and a long ball game Hopefully the flair of Man Utd and Arsenal will begin to rub off on other clubs. Aston Villa play three up front for the most part, so it's not all doom and gloom.

Rather blame the Italians, but i like Italian football.

They were beaten fare & square by a weakened Everton side!

We were beaten by penalties. Still a strong side that Everton put out though.

But not their preferred 11 & penalties is fare & square, each team gets the same number of attempts at scoring, United are out......move on!

I'm not sure the quality is any better or worse. It's just that the hype surrounding the game is so ludicrous that we come to expect genius from every PL player every game. Incidentally I think the coverage of yesterday's game has been really poor. The fact that there weren't many goalmouth incidents doesn't make it a bad game. The two defences were excellent and though both sides tried to play football they couldn't break through.

i am a man utd supporter i was so angry with reff mike riley for not giving danmy wellbeck the penalty agenst everton in the fa cup he as cost us the chance to win 5 trophies i hope chelsea smash everton 6-0 that would make my day

United cost themselves with another lacklustre display,stop making excuses,because none of them hold water.

you got beat,you are out of the cup,stop bitching.

Was a shock to be honest since the ref is a Utd fan thought he would have given pens every 5 minutes or so
