The Borderlands[aka Final Prayer](2013)

The directorial debut of Elliot Goldner who also wrote the script uses the old lost footage trick in this horror set in the West Country.The footage was taken by tnree men,despatched by the Vatican to investigate an old church which was supposedly the sight of miracle.After arriving and setting up their recording equipment,a series of events transpire with terrible consequences.Although the lost footage formula is done to death,the use of unknown actors and the effective location make this one worth seeing out.

Pin[aka Pin : A Plastic Nightmare](1988)

Directed by Sandor Stern and written by Andrew Neiderman based on his novel,this little known staight to video horror/thriller is surprisingly good despite a strange and silly sounding premise.A young repressed boy,alienated from the world by his strict parents uses his father's(who is a doctor)anatomy doll as an imaginary friend only for it to gradually take over his life with tragic results.With really good turns from David Hewlett,Cynthia Preston and the ever reliable Terry O'Quinn.

Mother! (2017) 3/10 - with a star studded cast and renowned director i expected a lot more from this film, but it really is a complete mess, grim, depressing and with moments of brutal violence, the film makes very little sense.

Watched ant man and the wasp lastnight, it was a good film that was far more light and fun than most the marvel films at the moment, its set before infinity war so not sure why it was put out after it, only bit I didn't like was the little bit after the credits which was very sad and didn't fit in with the rest of the fun film 8/10

Comedy directed by Stanley Kramer, starring Spencer Tracy and pretty much about every comic actor going at that point!
After a long prison sentence Smiler Grogan is heading at high speed to a California park where he hid $350,000 from a job 15 years previously. He accidentally careens over a cliff in view of four cars whose occupants go down to help. The dying Grogan gives details of where the money is buried and when the witnesses fail to agree on sharing the cash, a crazy chase develops across the state.
Hilarious, crazy, ambitious fun!
