RE: Scottish Football
East Stirling lost at Berwick, which ends any mathematical chance of the play-offs. Now, if we can just hold on to 6th...

The Hamilton-Dundee-Falkirk axis, which seems the most exciting thing left in Scotland this season, took a turn with Dundee losing and the other 2 winning. So Hamilton are now top. Of course, the pessimist view is that whoever goes up gets smashed by Celtic, Aberdeen & the like, whilst whoever doesn't gets smashed by Rangers and possibly Hearts Sad

RE: Scottish Football
find it ironic that top 3 in Championship all have to play the same teams Raith, Alloa and Morton in last 3 games so it comes down to who does best in those games

I see there are midweek games in the Lowland League, hope this means clubs have started installing floodlights so we don't have the farce in early Scottish Cup rounds of matches having to be played at 1pm on Monday/Wednesday in autumn/winter months to ensure they can be completed in daylight as clubs didn't have floodlights

Elgin bloody City 5 East Stirling 0

Hamilton lost 4-1 at Dumbarton, whilst Dundee won and move back to the top. Falkirk's draw just about keeps them in, but it's Dundee's to lose.

RE: Scottish Football
I read an article recently in which Gordon Strachan said it would be a disaster for Scottish footbal if Hibs were also to be relegated to the Championship. If somebody had said to you 10 years ago that Rangers, Hearts and possibly Hibs could all end up end up in the second tier of Scottish football playing each other then its most likely you would have made arrangements to have the person taken away to the nearest lunatic asylum.

On the other end of the table it's just like the 1980's again with Aberdeen and Dundee United fighting it out for European football. Ironically 10 years ago we were both at the bottom end of the table battling against each other to avoid relegation with Rangers, Hearts and Hibs at the top end, how ironic how the tables have turned in the other direction.

This weekend it was a great weekend for my Dundee United team handing out a 1980's style thrashing to Motherwell. Hearts also showing the attitude of sure we're going down but we're also planning in bringing you down with us to the Hibs.

All the results from the weekend went as follows.

Partick Thistle 1 St Mirren 1
Aberdeen 1 St Johnstone 1
Dundee United 5 Motherwell 1
Ross County 2 Kilmarnock 1
Hibernian 1 Hearts 2
Celtic 6 Inverness CT 0

Onto the Championship and its been reported that the Hamilton players were in tears after surrendering their place at the top of the table to put Dundee back in pole position which has set up for a very tense last game of the season in which all Dundee have to do is beat Hamilton and then they will be crowned Champions and the Dundee Derby next season will be back on the fixture list.

The 2 results from the weekend that has put Dundee back on top were.

Alloa 0 Dundee 3
Dumbarton 4 Hamilton 1

I think from also gaining a decent sponsor for next season then having Dundee back in the top league is a must Important

RE: Scottish Football
I don't see Hibernian as a "big" club. Nor Dundee.

Celtic
Rangers
Aberdeen
Dundee Utd
Hearts

That's it.
