Putting yesterdays crashes aside, we've had 2 fantastic efforts to win stages. really great to see the camaraderie from many of the top riders, who were happy to see van der Poel win today, especially praise from Alaphilippe.

Stage 3 this afternoon from Lorient to Pontivy in Brittany. 183.7km

It could be a finish suitable for Cavendish.

What a bloodbath, I've never seen so many crashes in one stage, inc Thomas.

The winner of the stage was Tim Merlier of Alpecin–Fenix

No sign of Cavendish.

Van der Poel extended his lead.

Caleb Ewan has fractured his collarbone and is out of the race.

The way things are going we'll be lucky if anyone makes it to Paris!

Stage 4 this afternoon. Redon to Fourgeres 150.5km.

If Cavendish is going to anything it has to be in this race

And just to prove that Cavendish is not passed it. He won the race in the sprint finish.
He was very emotional in interview

^ Not the only one who was emotional. I was screaming at the screen and shouting “ go Cav” like a madman. So so happy for him

^^ exactly the same i was screaming at the tv as he came to the line, that was a great feel good sporting moment, so happy for him after all hes gone through, seeing how much it meant to him after was lovely to see

Bravo. He deserved another stage in his career. Good for him.
