I know watch you mean about Martin Samuel, he seems to think that Redknapp is the greatest manager of all time and is some sort of a tactical genius

All I will say is Harrys record stands for its self at Spurs, time will tell what road Mr Levy will take, but I fear best players gone for profit, mid table years again beckon,

All he does is ask for money money money, then he fucks off and leaves clubs in the mire. Look at both Pompy and Southampton !!
...

I've been saying this myself for ages.
Not only that, but Harry has a tendency to grow bored with players very easily leaving high wage earners sitting on the bench while he goes and buys a replacement. That hasn't helped the finances of the clubs he's been through.
Would Harry have succeeded in the England job without a transfer window to resort to? Personally I am yet to be convinced. I'm not saying he's a bad manager by any means, in the right environment he can do well, but he isn't the saviour some seem to think he is.

He's actually got worse the past few seasons...

2011-12 - Finished 20pts off 1st place
2010-11 - Finished 18pts off 1st place
2009-10 - Finished 16pts off 1st place

Levy is no mug. Love or hate him but he runs the club prudently and his transfer dealings make rather, than lose money. Which when you've someone like Dirty Harry in charge can only be a good thing. Modric was almost certain to go regardless of what happened to Harry, and if it wasn't for Levy in the first place he'd have joined Chelsea last season. Bale has said he may follow, and that was before Harry got sacked. And wasn't it Harry who wanted to sell Bale because he didn't rate him?
In a strange way I think Tottenham might be able to keep hold of a couple of the bigger names if they can get a proven manager in, someone to galvanize the team and get the players to share the vision. Levy will give the new man money to spend, I think he just didn't trust Harry any more, and frankly, who can blame him!

I said earlier Bilic would be one of the managers out there that would suit Tottenham, but a friend told me he's off to Russia to manage Lokomotiv Moscow, so that rules him out.

There are a couple of managers in the Spanish league, Tottenham could take a look at, theres Unai Emery, who I think may have left Valencia at the end of the season, even though he got them to third in the league with very little money.

There is Marcelo Bielsa also at Athletic Bilbao, who is a very good manager in my opinion and also played some of the most attractive football in Europe last season
