Allen's one of them players, only without being irritating with it. Well done them both really.

RE: Home Nations £1m tournament
I didn't get German Eurosport in Santorini, and I've been out of touch with snooker for the past 10 days. Nice to see Zhou Yuelong get to a final. He has great potting ability, but his results had been suffering while he's been trying to improve his all round game. Looks like he's now ready to terrorise all the top seeds.

Great win for Mark Allen. Afterwards he was complaining that he only got a 5th of the ranking points for winning this event than Neil Robertson got for winning the Saudi Masters despite winning one more match. It does seem a bit unfair basing the rankings on prize money when it differs so much between events. Maybe the more even points per ranking event based system Allen is suggesting may be a bit fairer.

Bai Yulu crushed Indian Professional Kreishh Gurbaxani 4-0 in Scottish Open qualifying, capping it off with an 81 break. However, she still has to win a tough tie tomorrow against Robbie Williams to qualify for the Scottish Open in December.

In the evening session poor old Bob Milkins kept on taking a one frame lead only to lose in a decider to Mark Allen.
Thepchaiya un-Nooh edged out Joe O'Connor in another decider while Jimmy Robertson fended off Stuart Bingham 4-2.
Minister of Defence Martin O'Donnell beat Jak Jones 4-3.
Just after midnight Gary Wilson finally saw off Chang Bingyu 4-3.

BBC Sport website gleefully going into gory details. It was a tough draw, at least he played well (though he probably wouldn't have said that).

Kyren Wilson scraped through a decider against the fearsome, er, Oliver Lines, screened during DMAX's reduced coverage.
