Kuyt had been a great servant for Liverpool but clearly not in the new managers plans. Like you say, LODOS, perhaps getting him off the wage list was the number one priority, and the cash was just a bonus!

Surely that means Liverpool will be buying someone like Dempsey to replace Kuyt

Perhaps, but maybe Rodgers is looking for someone in the midfield area, he has said he'd be interested in Gylfi Sigurdsson if the deal to go to Swansea falls through, so my guess is he is freeing up some funds to prepare for a bid.

Dempsey can play midfield too, Sigurdsson is brilliant and how about Dembele he was Belgium's best player last night and is good at Fulham. If Liverpool signed Dempsey and Sigurdsson can provide goals from midifield, Dembele a clever player, good with the ball and a striker such as the prolific Soldado

What the fuck, why have we released Guthrie on a free transfer, he was good for us when Cabaye or Tiote, we're out. I'm sure Pardew knows what he is doing, I trust him and our scouts
