Don’t know why but our defence really does look a tad shoddy. We miss Fabinho badly I think, does a lot of work in the midfield which makes the defence job easier.

Appears my initial fears about too much rotation were completely unwarranted and bodes well for the rest of the busy period with Origi and Shaqiri both having goddess games and scoring, hopefully when they are next called upon they can do similar

That could have been a more comprehensive rout if Mané hadn't missed that cast-iron chance but I'll take 5-2, more than Man City scored and Leicester City too and still amazingly got a great lead as we run up to Christmas(which traditionally was the worst month for us) Going to be a mad number of games though, very congested fixture list-I wonder if we could win the Club World Cup to add to our trophies this year-surely that would leave Liverpool odds on for Team of the Year at the Sports Personality of the Year awards? Possibly the England Cricket World Cup win could surpass that?

Saw the teamsheet, should have remembered that a not too dissimilar team beat Barca 4nil.

Amusingly the Times rated Mane 8 out of 10.... Like Wtf. He probably played one of the Half's of his career. Granted he missed a couple in the second half ,(it's well known that he does a lot for charity, schools in Africa, donations to food banks, missing sitters against Everton).

Love Origi, comes across as a nice guy after the match. Intelligent and grounded.

He should start against Bournemouth too on Saturday, seeing as he is bang in form, 3rd highest scorer for Liverpool in all competitions this season, behind Mane and Salah, 5 goals.

How long is the injury list atm? that should be the one thing to worry about atm as you head into the run up to Christmas. FIFA should treat the club world cup like a proper World cup not bung it in during a hectic busy club season period i.e. Christmas/New Year, but at a period when players have had a break and then play or better still make it a knockout tournament spread over two years.
