Just count the bloody votes. Highest number wins. No controversy.
This post has struck a chord with me, although I don't quite get the wrestling analogy.

It's just an example of a competition where head to heads are actually relevant...

Just to be clear, nobody is suggesting any nefarious goings on.

I'm not sure I fully understand Snooks detailed analysis, but at least that's down to me being thick rather than feeling kept in the dark.

I think we just have to run with what we have this year, now. But perhaps we can have a discussion after the New Year on the best way forward for next year.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to see what my options are in terms of tactical voting Wink

Yeah sorry about that. It was a complex scenario and solution to try and explain.
In essence it looks as though the priority was ensuring the formula of 1v8 2v7 3v6 and 4v5 was as closely adhered to as possible given ties for numerous seeding positions.

Yes, I kinda get that bit. It's the 3-way ties that were an unnecessary complication imo.

RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread
So to the daytime competition situation which is arguably a little simpler but also equally open to discussion.

Firstly here are the resulting nomination numbers and seedings

1. Kelly Bell 11 noms
2. Emma C 8 noms
3. Electra Morgan 7 noms
4. Anastasia Harris 6 noms
5. Charle C and Mikaela Witt 4 noms
6. TeeJay Walker, Danni Levy, Clara Croft and Lucy Anne Brooks all with 3 noms.

Here is the draw that was produced.

Kelly Bell (1) v TeeJay Walker (6)
Anastasia Harris (4) v Charlie C (5) and Danni Levy (6)
Electra Morgan (3) v Mikaela Witt (5) and Clara Croft (6)
Emma C (2) V Lucy Anne Brooks (6)

Now for what I think the explanation would be for the draw above. This situation has some similarity but some difference to the nightshow HOF one.

The key difference here is that there are no ties for the top 4 seeding positions.
However there is a two way tie for seed 5 and a four way tie for seed 6.

What appears to have been decided is that the top two seeds i.e Kelly Bell and Emma C get maximum reward for finishing in the top two in a couple of key respects for the quarter final draw.
Firstly they oppose the closest to a number 8 seed as possible which in this case is seed 6.
Furthermore they only face one opponent in the last eight draw rather than two.

The number three and four seeds i.e Electra Morgan and Anastasia Harris have also been drawn against one of the number 6 seeds. But crucially because they did not qualify in the top two they have both been given an extra opponent in the quarter finals in the form of each of the number five seeds.

Essentially this is a variant of a similar theme to the nightshow comp only with less mathematical complexity as less ties apply both in terms of number of babes tied and number of seeding positions tied.

Were there other options that could have been considered?
Well yes but rather less than the number of options available in the nightshow comp because there were a higher number of variables in the nightshow situation. Once again I am not going to go through all the available options and I am not going to play judge or jury on what has been decided either.
That debate is for another day and open to all. I believe once again however that the action taken has been in good faith even if not necessarily subject to universal approval.

I suspect there may have been a desire for brevity of solution in both comps given the numbers that materialised. That, no doubt will be a sticking point for some and not for others. I appreciate that all too well.

That concludes the explainers for 2025.

I think it's a very fair set-up there, with the top two seeds going up against two of the bottom seeds and seeds three and four having an extra hurdle to clear.

RE: HALL OF FAME Discussion Thread
Thanks for the work you've done on this Snooks. My repeated questions earlier were aimed to get Clarity about what had gone on & in the end I did my own calculations which concur with yours. We are where we are for this year but personally I will strongly recommend changes for next year to provide clarity, simplicity and importantly fairness for all potential nominees across the history of the shows in how the HoF process works.

I'd just make 3 final points:

1/ It should be for the forum membership to ultimately decide how nominees are selected and then inducted into the HoF. I would hope many members contribute to the discussion we have about this next year.

2/ In each of this years nominee groups there were 4 girls who were clearly most favoured which to my mind hints that simplification might have its advantages!

3/ I believe the HoF should not be about competition between girls at all - it's about recognising excellence in providing entertainment to forum members. The parameters we set for future years should not be limited by our own current prejudices and preferences.

Thanks again for your analysis and of course Lovebabes & Charlemagne for navigating a way across this years minefield. I hope they recognise that my comments & I'm sure others were made because we care.

I'm bound to agree this is a better situation than nights - personally it would seem a small issue to have a run-off with the 4 babes who are joint 7th with the 2 winners then facing 1 and 2 and so on.

The issue with having heavy match-ups is the same argument with a 4th place Premier League team being able to win the Champions League.

But hey, what's done has been done Rolleyes
