Depends how many Labour MPs back the motion. Some of those in constituents that voted heavily for Leave will be looking over their shoulders...

Of course that is right!! I am not convinced that the numbers willing to back the Govt from the Labour benches will be enough though!! It will come down to 'courage of their convictions' when they stare over the precipice!

I don't think there has been a period of time such as the last three years has shown us, how far out of step the Government is with it's public at large

Good to hear, let's hope when an election happens he loses his seat too, he doesn't deserve to be an MP. Quite a few don't imo.

Less than 100,000 people voted him into the job, yet he seems to think he can speak for us all, he speaks for a fraction of a percentage of the population. He's not my PM, I didn't vote him in, or have the opportunity to vote against him.
No politician should be allowed to hold the top job without a public vote, no one party membership has the right to decide the rest of our future decisions (that needs to change), so hopefully this week will be the beginning of his end, not just as PM, but as a politician with any real standing. If one thing is very clear, he is in this for himself not his party (a rude awakening for some) and certainly not for the good of the country.

^He can call for election, but he needs 2/3rds of the MP's to agree with him. Labour and Liberal's won't ask for one

Interesting to observe that the Brexiteer wing of the Conservative Party were not threatened with expulsion from the party for voting against Theresa May's deal.

Yet the now Brexiteer led government have threatened all Tory MPs who vote in favour of tonights motion to block no deal have been threatened with the very same expulsion.

Tory MP Antoinette Sandbach made that point about Rees Mogg in particular, that he rebelled against the Government 100 times at least and has been rewarded with a promotion where as David Gauke who has never voted against the Government (I don't know what that stat is related too, I am assuming it's just May's tenure and not all the way back to 2010) is to have the whip removed for his first rebel vote
