RE: Cricket Banter
I used to play in club cricket where 108 would be considered a decent score. WinkTongue

RE: Cricket Banter
not a record though, Langport hold that as they were dismissed for 0 against Glastonbury in 1913

(27-04-2014 12:59 )William H Bonney Wrote:  Wirral Cricket Club were bowled out for 3 yesterday (including 2 leg byes) and the Cheshire League Division Three team received notoriety on Twitter after users started sharing an image of the scorecard. The club itself took the result in good spirits, tweeting: “lost by 105 runs today... Sadly the opposition only scored 108!” Other clubs in the league questioned the result, tweeting the winners Haslington to ask if the scorecard was real.

^^^

Chris Adams only had a brief test career. Making his debut at 29. He played 5 tests against South Africa on the 1999/2000 tour of that country. He was a very promising international player of the late 90s. He was always being mentioned as a future test player.

He played his county cricket for Sussex and Derbyshire.

I'll always remember him as the man who was going to be player/coach at Yorkshire & then left them in the shit at the last minute when he realized the job was too big for one man.

Thorpe or Ramprakash tipped for the job.

Although it has been stated that Gooch will still continue to work with some players behind the scenes (Cook).

The problem is the new regime don't really have much new talent to pick from what I have seen. In general the same old shit as you put it have performed well in first few games of the county cricket season and deserve their chance to work with the new regime. Let's hope the new regime can get them all performing to their full potential.
