Brian Moore meets... Seve Ballesteros
A somewhat prickly but charismatic guy who inspired so many other great Spanish golfers in his wake. Seve, that is.

Eat The Press
Steve Malzberg talks to actor Kevin Sorbo (who's from Minneapolis, weirdly) about current events, media bias, his faith, and so on.

4 men try to buy a birthday cake for a woman without being sure how to spell her name, or what age she will be; Paul Chuckle goes driving; Henry Blofeld reminisces about cricket; and Zandra Rhodes bows out.
TRMH, 4.4
They swap Puducherry for Rishikesh, so there's more stuff about spirituality; Britt whining a lot; dreary Duncan doing yoga; and everyone else enjoying the place.

Another good series. Where a 5th series might come given Modi's maniacal rule, who knows?

First Wave - Target 117
Some crappy US sci-fi series enlivened by a guest turn from "Sable" in the days when the WWF was such a hot property that they could send Steve Austin & others off to be in other folk's shows without qualms.

Medici: Godfathers of the Renaissance
Part One - Birth of a Dynasty

PBS America

This is a four part, partly dramatised documentary about the Medici who ruled Florence for three centuries. The first episode covers the first half of the 15th century and charts the rise of the family who grew rich from banking and used their wealth and links to the papacy to become the de facto rulers of the florentine republic. Cosimo de Medici sponsored some of the greatest artists of the time and is credited with kickstarting the Renaissance. One of the artists was Brunelleschi, a pioneering engineer and architect, who designed and built the famous dome of Florence Cathedral. In his spare time he also discovered the rules of perspective in painting.

This is history that I didn't know anything about and I found it informative so I'll be watching the other episodes.
