I'm quite happy for there not to be a general election because I don't think it will solve anything. Furthermore there is the Fixed Term Parliament Act that says that General Elections are to be held every 5 yrs so by blocking the PM they are merely adhering to the constitution of Parliament

It would be 3 weeks of wasted time that we don't have and we'd probably end up with much the same as we've got.

Oh it might be fun just seeing what the two main parties put in their manifestos about Brexit. Both could tear themselves apart

It would be sods law that if a General Election were held we just end up with another hung parliament

^I don't think in history that there has been no more than two hung parliaments in a row, so this would be a history making moment in itself

So what is the general feeling with us forumnites what would be for you, the only way out of this impasse? Just go with your gut instincts

Personally I would want to Revoke Article 50 but that would obviously have repercussions as the public have been lied to about the validity of an advisory referendum. A second referendum would again cause negative repercussions but perhaps more subdued than the outcome of a full revoke of A50.

In regards to a 2nd Ref the question is, what will the question be? Remain has to be an option once you break down the different ways we can leave at look at the public support for them Remain is the only one that has a majority. What will be the Brexit option? May's deal? May's deal + CU?

If the Brexiteers could come to a consensus on what it is they actually want after 40 fucking years of advocating for it, that would be handy to say the least
