Mate... I hope you're right. Honestly.

I would say the gulf between Parliament and public is wider than ever on this one single issue. No matter how we vote in an election again MP'S will always deal with issues that are of national importance with their own beliefs first and the public beliefs second.

The whole thing - from the fact we voted with our hearts rather than our heads (and that’s being generous) all the way through to the squabbling MPs of all parties and their mismanagement of the process - has made me ashamed to be British. I feel like apologising to every mainland European (and Scot!) I meet. Moreover we have sold our young people down the river and severely restricted their opportunities.
We face a decade of austerity and social unrest on an unprecedented scale.
Life will go on but we will rue our decisions.

I know that but I would say that the debate for revoking Article 50 swill be fierce

None of this offers much hope for Corbyn's wish to get rid of a zombie government. Presumably as soon as one of these is enacted the Tories will be looking to ditch Maybot. The incumbent will then be dogged by EU comment, complaint, scapegoating, excuses and recriminations for years to come. The next election will see it all raked over again... and then, even if we are out, in a small number of years to my bet, one of the main two parties will be brave enough to suggest we rejoin! All this for a topic most of the public couldn't have cared two hoots for before Farage threatened Tory votes with his propoganda.
