RE: Football Banter
Sergio Ageuro - Has been good but went missing during January Febuary and March, player of the season? bladewave

Joe Hart - A worthy shout at least, decent 'keeper

Robin Van Persie - Would be hard to argue with this, should win it comfortably out of the nominations

Scott Parker - bladewavebladewavebladewave Really??? bladewavebladewavebladewave

Wayne Rooney - Probably deserves a nomination but not a lot else. Hasn't had a bad season, and has scored some good goals, a lot of his goals this season have been from the penalty spot. A decent player for United but hardly player of the season material, I think it sums up the season Rooney being nominated.

David Sliva - Been injured of late, had a decent start to the season, worthy of a nomination.

Wigan have been brilliant in the last few games ever since they switched to that 3 5 2 formation.

Also on the PFA nominations, Krul and Vorm have been just as good as Hart, Parker though is the one that puzzles me, how about Cabaye or Yaya Toure.

Plus the fact no defender is nominated, shows how shit teams defend these days

This game will be 4-2 to Arsenal but I was a very happy man when Wigan went 0-2 up.

I don't know if you were at the game Phoenix, I'm guessing you were given you say it was Chelsea fans doing the shouting during the minutes silence but I thought it would've been as it was announced it was also a minutes silence for Piermario Morosini as well & I couldn't see Tottenham fans booing given what happened at White Heart Lane.

It annoyed me how ITV kept banging on about how Drogba will trouble the Barca defence if he's in this kind of form.... The form he has showed for 90 minutes this season & have they not been watching La Liga this season where Lionel Messi is close to breaking every Barca & individual scoring record with 10 possibly 11 games to go.

mitchell - Of course no one can compete with Messi,he is a special player. However much you might not like it though, Drogba at times can be unplayable. Gallas and King were terrified of him every time he got the ball. The key to Chelsea getting past Barca is obviously nullifying the attack, but also relying on players like Drogba to turn up and expose the weaknesses in the Barca defence. The weakest link in the Barca side in the back 4, there isn't many players in Spain who play like Drogba, and he can bully that defence if he chooses. to.

Sad news to report from yesterday... The Italian football federation called off all league games this weekend after the death of Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini.

The league announced the decision on its website on Saturday, shortly before AC Milan was due to kick off against Genoa at 6pm local time.
The 25-year-old Morosini died about an hour earlier after suffering cardiac arrest during his team's Serie B match at Pescara.

Edoardo De Blasio, a cardiologist at Pescara's Santo Spirito hospital, said the player was already dead when he arrived at the hospital.
Morosini, who was on loan from Udinese, fell to the ground in the 31st minute of the match and received urgent medical attenton on the pitch.

Fair play to Wigan beating Arsenal, they are five points away from the relegation zone. They have some good fixtures remaining and look good for another season in the Premiership.

Thank you Wigan for giving my team hope of not only grabbing 4th, but maybe 3rd. But I shouldn't be greedy and asking for too much

Barca's defence isn't as weak as some would like themselves to believe even when Javier Mascherano plays centre half. Chelsea have their own problems & Messi is on form 99.99% of the time especially over two legs & personally I just don't see Chelsea stopping & or out scoring a Barca side who have won 14 of their last 15 (Milan 0-0) scoring 46 & conceding 11 Messi has scored 23.

One more thing, sorry for repeating myself, but I will say it again, Martinez can do a job for a bigger club, I really believe he could
