After the debacle at Sunderland last week, I'm surprised that Mancini ever picked him for such an important game!!

I wouldn't be suprised if at the end of the season, Man City cut their losses on him, because he just seems to to have his mind on things elsewhere and not on the job in hand. I feel disappointed for City (even though I'm a QPR supporter and we have our own problems), it would have been nice to have seen a new name on the Premiership roll of honour.

I hope to watch our game tonight before bed, just to see how marginal the decision was:- a) how far offiside Young was and b) whether Derry's foul warranted a red card! Judging by the reaction on 606 on R5, some United supporters even questioned the ref's decision. How did he overrule the linesman if he had flagged orignally for offiside? IMHO it does show when you visit Old Trafford you are always going to get one
controversial decision!! Mark Hughes did say also that QPR will appeal against the red card but I don't think it will be overturned.

As far as Mancini's position I think it's likely he won't be there by the last game, he has suffered the same as AVB - he has lost the dressing room.

Balotelli said when he was about 6 months into his contract, that in two or three years of his contract, that he wants a move back to Italy with AC Milan, he could get his wish sooner rather than later.

Another thing about Mancini, he said a couple of weeks ago I think that he would find it hard to trust Balotelli, yet he plays him for almost the whole game today

That wouldn't surprise me one bit and it wouldn't surprise if most of the cups were thrown at Balotelli

Sad When your own players embarrass you!
i almost started a thread for this titled "The 'Slag Off Your Own Players' Thread".

everyone enjoys slagging off their rivals' players. it can be fun and is easy to do. most of us though, are reluctant to criticise our own players - especially the more popular ones.

speaking for myself, it is mostly because my team gets enough criticism from rival fans (some justified, most not) and when someone knocks your team/players/manager you naturally want to defend them. today is not that day.

as the regulars will by now be aware, i am a Manchester United supporter. what they might not know, is that i hate divers. i HATE them. diving is without a doubt the scourge of the modern game.

most players have taken a dive at some point - and i include what Perch did recently when talking about diving. Drogba, Suarez and plenty of others regularly drive me to fury, so it's even more embarrassing and gauling when one of your own players does it.

today Ashley Young took a dive and it was appalling. i don't know how to describe what i feel, except to say that i want to hurt him! when your team wins, you don't want to look back and think 'we only won that game because one of our players cheated'. honest to god, i would rather lose.

Young disgraced himself, his family, his teammates, our supporters and the shirt. if i had been there, i would have put the penalty wide and told Young (and the rest of the team) that if he ever did that again, i would take him out in training so that he wouldn't be able to play in the next game. the only way i can see this blatant cheating stop, is if an independent panel starts handing out automatic 3-match bans for each offence.

Ashley, if you want to make yourself look like a cunt, go ahead, but don't do it in a United shirt! annoyed

Your spot on about the ban for players that dive, but I can never see it being introduced into football.

I hate when one of my own players dives, it annoys me seeing Perch, even some of our toughest players dive sometimes like Tiote and Gutierrez.

Its got to stop before football turns into a non contact sport

My United supporting mate said that cant be true as they dont have enough cups to throw

Thanks for being so honest mate, reckon the only way to solve the problem of divers is this :-
Introduce a sin bin system like they have in rugby the difference being that if you are booked for diving (and an opposing player i.e. like Derry was sent off yesterday), the diver, must sit out in the rest of the first half and the first 10 minutes of the second - that way there is no man adavantage to one team and it is a level playing field.

Any repeat performance by the same player in the remainder of the match it is a straight red card and carries automatic 4 game ban from playing in the first team and he can only play in reserve games in that period. That way by not having regular first team football and playing reserve team football, he would more than likely think twice about doing it again once he is picked for first team football again.
But having said that I was amazed at how quick the referee was
to produce a red card for the offence derry committed, and if any of the divers team mates pressure the referee to send off a player, it should carry either a team yellow card, or an automatic free kick to opponents, where they kick to touch like rugby, and gain yardage.
