Jim Smith - Live from Perth
Some Perthshire farmer-comedian, rather than the former QPR manager.

The Greatest Dancer BBC1 including the call-backs. The four 'captains' Todrick(never heard of him), Cheryl, Oti Mabuse and Matthew Morrison had to pick their three acts, with one act already picked over the past weeks to go straight through to the live shows starting next week. There were some amazing dancers from kids to a husband & wife team(she being in a wheelchair-unfortunately they didn't make the final three. I am sometimes worried about kids taking part because letting them down is only going to induce tears but it is a competition and they will have to learn that life isn't always fair. Some very good acts chosen and next week in the live finals it's going to be amazing to see them again, this time being put through their paces by their captains.

Star Trek: Picard episode 1.

Very good start to what looks like is going to be a very good series. The final scene was intriguing to say the least. Looking forward to seeing more classic characters return, especially Seven.

Front Row Late: When Mary Beard met Armando Iannucci
His new film version of David Copperfield, and a lot on The Thick Of It, less on Avenue 5.

Front Running - Lobbyists
Will the swamp get drained in 2021, given both sides rely on it? Not likely.

The Deuce episode 2 S3(final one-recorded Sky Atlantic) Having been set in the fledgling porn world of the 1970's and pimps and gangsters, corrupt cops and sleazy porn parlours. In this fina season it now jumps to 1985 for the final season and sees the main characters evolving and the porn industry embracing the video boom, plus the idea that ordinary people could make their own amateur stuff. The scene in New York is changing with AIDS rife and attitudes to porn changing. I could do without the gay sex stuff(I cycle past that) but it is quite amazing how many sex scenes are recreated by actors and actresses to make it more believable-hard to belive that without that online porn today wouldn't exist. The Deuce apparently was a nickname for a particular area of New York. Stars James Franco who plays dual brothers and Maggie Gylenhaal(both producer/executive of the show)
