From various articles it seems to be legit, which if true is a tough break for the guy.

Quote:WWE announced that Seth Rollins has re-injured his right knee in the closing segment of Monday’s episode of RAW during the attack by Samoa Joe.

“Seth Rollins’ right knee was re-injured during Samoa Joe’s ambush at the conclusion of this Monday’s Raw, WWE.com can now confirm. The attack occurred as Rollins was heading to the ring to finally confront Triple H, who cost The Architect a WWE Universal Championship opportunity back in August.”

Apparently, this is a legitimate injury and not part of a storyline. ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting that his status for WrestleMania 33 is currently up in the air. Rollins is scheduled to see a doctor later this week and WWE is reportedly working on backup plans in case Rollins cannot compete at the event.

wonder if the backup would be Finn Balor Vs Samoa Joe. Rumour is Finn Balor back in next few weeks ready made fued for them to carry on from NXT

Severity of the Rollin's injury will impact on the length of his absence obviously,so I wonder as a contingency plan for potential feuds for Samoa Joe would come from the remaining Shield members (as their best buddies now).Reigns could be one but he is the middle of a few feuds so it could possibly come from feuding with Dean Ambrose on Smackdown.

Isn't Rollins usually the guilty party when other folks get injured, eg Sting?

Though I expect Joe doesn't really need the "too reckless" tag after only 1 appearance. It would have been bad enough that presumably he would have lost to Seth, prior to Seth facing HHH.

I would hope that outcome wouldnt happen, if there smart they would end it a draw of some kind to protect both characters but making sure both look strong in doing so, have no doubts they would have one hell of a match.

Rollins' injury is rumoured to be a torn MCL , he was visiting Dr. James Andrews yesterday and was told it would be an 8 week recovery . Mania was 8 weeks & 4 days away yesterday .

Yeah apparently not recovered well enough from hip surgery and looks like he may need a second one if he and reigns do Wrestlemaina will be another Goldberg Lesnar secnario

I noticed Rich Swann was injured too, perhaps why he dropped the CruiserWeight belt.

Of course, compared to Rollins and Taker, who cares..? Wink
