^^ They really need a proof reader. The text of the yellow option three has the wrong amount in the text: "£9.99" instead of 19.99.

The idea that the babeshows "are not that deep" is driven by those that don't wish to acknowledge how much effective customer service and a consideration of psychology impacts users' future interactions.

Okay so Winsaw really needs to talk to them about pricing because this makes no financial sense at all. You’d think the lifetime option would be better value BUT it’s actually worse than the annual. If you sign up for the lifetime option then assume you use the £10 credit you have paid a net £9.99 for uninterrupted viewing. Whereas if you take out the annual option it costs you nothing if you use the £10 credit. When the year expires just renew and you never effectively pay for uninterrupted viewing.

The more I see from them the more it sadly looks as though it’s run by a bunch of amateurs with no successful business experience behind them because the mistakes they are making are really basic.

I’m beginning to think they launched when they did because they were already running out of money.

That's not quite right, because VNTV are receiving the £9.99 and the £19.99, so they're in receipt of a revenue stream. Discounted offers work for the punter because they feel they're getting something free (in this case the phone calls), but the company calculates that it's going to get lots of £10s that it otherwise wouldn't have got.

Or when they launched the pot was empty and had bills to pay - no slight on the girls there, but they could have done a lot better If they can't fix their teething problems out quickly enough they might beat S66 into not being 'in business' by Christmas.

Yes I'd say the lifetime (option 3) doesn't look that great just to get access but you are getting lifetime (of the stream) viewing for your extra net £9.99. SA is thinking like the regular caller he is; this offer is aimed at your basic casual/freeloader! Wink It is still a valid kosher deal just one of a different type to option two; that's why it doesn't look quite right sat next to the freebie deal perhaps.

With opt.3 you're paying to have to never pay again in effect. Whereas with the annual one you're paying for credits and getting the stream access free temporarily but crucially you have to keep digging in your pocket to continue watching after that.

Not a trading standards officer but think they are probably obliged to honour the £9.99 for lifetime misprint it's clearly misleading , fill your boots !!! But really is anybody going to choose to sign up to a site and channel that very few things work on ?????

Yes, the lifetime option actually smacks of desperation. It looks like an attempt to get more money in quick in the hope that, further down the line, they won't need the repeat subs from the punters that take that option. That may be correct, but only if they get the problems sorted quick and get the other revenue streams working to full potential.
So SA's suggestion that they're running out of money could be correct.

Regarding the free offer, though. Free offers are always valued at retail price but the cost to the company is only the wholesale cost, as it were.

No, in fact they aren't obliged to honour a pricing mistake. Nobody is.

It's not a matter for Trading Standards either. All pricing issues in the UK are covered by The Sale Of Goods Act, and that isn't within the range the legislation that Trading Standards enforce.

The only exception would be if you could persuade Trading Standards that the incorrect pricing was deliberate, as then they could treat the matter as fraud, which is something they can act upon.
