The Boys episodes 1 & 2.

Great stuff, it's set in a world where superheroes exist, but they work for a corporation and with that, are not exactly as heroic as you would expect/want. 'The Boys' are vigilantes who aim to keep the 'heroes' in check. It's a new spin on the whole superhero thing, and is worth checking out, it's definitely not family friendly entertainment. lol.

Rams - Principles of Good Design
Dieter Rams worked for Braun, where he apparently was the first to suggest Perspex lids on record players. And other innovations, like the record player with the needle that worked from underneath.

Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing
2.4 After last week's dearth, this week a plethora Tongue Perch, dogfish and a sea bass. They even broke out some impressions to show Coogan & Brydon up. And finished off with a Cornish cream tea and some sad thoughts about Paul's mum who was an opera singer but now has dementia.

Smashing Hits! The Pop Map of Britain and Ireland. Part 1(BBC FOUR) rpt. Midge Ure and Kim Appleby explore the sounds that came from England including the synthesizer sounds of Sheffield(The Human League, Heaven 17), the ska & two tone of Coventry & London(The Specials, The Selecter, Madness) and the New Romantics sounds after Punk had died a death(Adam and the Ants, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, Culture Club). Pt 2 next week will look at Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Great reliving the sounds of my youth especially the early 80's.

Elementary Ep 4 "Red Light, Green Light" Season 7 Final Season

Great Ep, it’s gonna be sad with no more of this show, it’s the ending that raises a lot question in shock way for Joan. Every season it’s been of high quality.

Celebrity Pointless (repeat)
Frazer Hines & Bonnie Langford got destroyed in round 2 even though they only scored 11 points. Shaun Williamson rounded off the show with another Pointless answer.

Revolutions: The Telescope. BBC Four. This is a series of programmes presented by Jim Al-Kalili, a physicist, looking at how everyday things were first developed from the car, rocket, smartphone, plane etc and last night was no5/6. Those of us that remember the eighties will recall the great James Burke's excellent Connections series where he looked at everyday things that somehow linked to his main theme, and The Day The Universe Changed, where again everyday things made our lives better. Anyway this went right back to the history of glass to Galileo discovering how to use it to make a telescope right up to the huge Hubble space telescope that give us fantastic pictures of the universe. It will be on BBC iPlayer if you want to catch up, well worth it.
