Well done Kyle Edmund in winning his 1st Grand Slam main draw match against Stephane Robert and with it provisional breaking into the Top 100 rankings at 98.

Andy Murray and Heather Watson both won in straight sets but Jo Konta lost in 3 sets and Aljaz Bedene lost in 4 sets

What the hell are ITV 4 playing at deciding to show Murrey v Ferrer instead of Nadal v Djokovic, surely only patriotic people would want to watch Murray FFS

Andy Murray is through to the semi finals after beating David Ferrer for the first time on clay.
Murray overcame the loss of the third set in which a matchpoint was spurned to ultimately prevail 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 5-7 6-1.

Unfortunately for the Scot his semi final opponent will be the World number one Novak Djokovic who dismantled nine time Roland Garros champion Rafael Nadal to win 7-5 6-3 6-1.

Andy could have done without losing 3rd set. Regards match against Novak it will depend whether he can take his new attacking style of play on clay into match with Novak or if lapses back into a more passive style as to whether he will have a chance against Novak

The commentator gave a detailed explaination as to why the French don't use Hawkeye on clay courts.
After which I still couldn't understand why they don't use the technology over marks on the court

Nadal will drop out of the Top 10 of latest rankings after Q/Final defeat at French Open.

Congatulations to Lucie Safarova who will play in her first Grand Slam final on Saturday after beating former French Open champion Ana Ivanovic 7-5 7-5 in the semi final.
Safarova had already beaten World number two and defending champion Maria Sharapova in round four.
Now she must face the might of Serena Williams in the final.
