Nenad Milijas was sent off against Arsenal for something that was not even a foul in the eyes of most people and yet the panel in their dubious wisdom upheld the dismissal as I understand it because it was not an obvious referee error. If a red card and a resulting 3 game ban for something that was not even a foul is not an obvious error then I don't know what is. It was harsh to give Kompany a red card imo but by the letter of the law if the ref felt it was a 2 footed lunge he maybe felt he had no alternative. This being said if the appeal panel decide the Kompany dismissal was an obvious error then Wolves will have serious cause for grievance imo.
so would we over Joey Barton's IMO. There are times when I agree that referees are human and make mistakes but, i think there have been some sendings off this season which didn't even warrant a red card and it ia only right clubs can appeal. Still City have only the League to worry about now. But why is the panel made up of people who have no connection to the game?

It probably would be, but what odds aren on Barton would be on his way out before the transfer window shuts, along with Taraabt, wright phillips and a few others?

Well one crack with Sheffield Utd and now half a crack with QPR.

I think Warnock's attacks on officials have sometimes been a disgrace, but he's one of only 19 managers to have managed for 1,000 matches in England and has 7 promotions to his credit - and all those promotions were with clubs that weren't fancied for promotion, so he has been consistently successful and has usually managed to exceed expectations in his management jobs.

RE: Football Banter
The incident in Friday's game against Oldham and the players reaction was no doubt a result of the recent Suarez case. The press have taken the opportunity to piss all over the club again. They're having a field day at our expense. The prick who dished out the abuse should be banned for life and dealt with severely by the courts. iamthatjack's snide comments are bang out of order, he's basically tarred us all with the same brush.

I have posted a link to a report published by the Home Office regarding arrests made at football games last season. In the Premier League alone there were 23 arrests relating to racist/indecent chanting....How many of those made the papers or got plastered all over the news??? And by the way, of those 23 arrests NONE were Liverpool supporters.

Here is the link......

This post isnt intended to in any way defend what happened on Friday night. I'm simply pointing out that it happens most weeks in the Premier League and is not being highlighted like it has been this week.

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.

The two are completely different.

I support Suarez because i don't think that he did or would ever commit a racist act.

I think the fan from the Oldham match should get a lifetime ban from our matches because he did commit a racist act.
