Britain's Greatest Comedian-GOLD recorded. It took loads of great comedians, comic actors and actresses and stand ups and whittled down to 30 which included Sir Lenny Henry, Billy Connolly, French & Saunders, Peter Sellers, Peter Kay etc but the one that was settled on by a panel of judges was STAN LAUREL! I have a feeling that many, many people would disagree that he was funnier than some mentioned or others like Sir Ken Dodd, Eric Morecambe, Ricky Gervais, Tommy Cooper.
