Classic Emmerdale

An episode from some time during 1990 that featured Amos fretting about being killed by Mr.Wilkes after his friend admitted that he sympathised with Frank Tate,who it revealed had assisted in helping his terminally ill first wife take her own life a few years before.

The Mist S1 Ep 1-10;

The excellent Steven King novel turned film (a disappointing film only remembered for the shock ending) turned tv series adaptation that was canned after the first series. The scene is set when a slow moving mist or fog (but that was the name of the classic 80's John Carpenter film) descends across the sleepy town of Bridgeville, Maine forcing the community to barricade themselves into the local hospital,church & shopping centre.What is in the mist is unclear but once exposed to it people's rationale goes out the window as it exposes their worst phobias,fears,weaknesses & any misdemeanors they may have previously done.What the concept behind the whole story shows is that the biggest threat to the people isn't the mist but how humanity can turn on itself when in times of trouble when people are barracaded in & forced to live together leading to selfishness & warring factions among people.

The series started off promisingly when scenes of the emerging mist descending upon the town causing panic upon people but once the people locked themselves away from the imminent danger the story started to drag like a seals arse.Combined with the lack empathy for any of the characters it wasn't really a surprise to hear that the series was axed in what I thought was a disappointing Series.

Secret Scotland with Susan Calman
After tackling Edinburgh in week 1, Ms Calman treks out to Stirling, which seems to be a fresher destination, although she includes a cookery section, and stuff about dancing, much like week 1.

Siren season 2 Episode 1.

A relatively good episode with all original actors/actresses back. It still has the dark undertone of the first season with some new arrivals. Not a lot of action in this one but some good special effects at times and the story moving along nicely. Worth a look.

River Walks - The Nidd
Odd they seem to be stringing out these. Here Amar Latif, some blind bloke, walks for 13 miles, and manages to fit in canoeing, kayaking, fishing, llama farming and going to a sweet shop.
