RE: Europe, Referendum & Brexit ( formerly Europe..IN or OUT??)
Prime Minister May on the proposed Scottish Referendum:
"I think a referendum wouldn't be fair on the people of Scotland because they would be asked to make a crucial decision without all the necessary information - without knowing what the future partnership with the EU would be, or what the alternative of an independent Scotland would be like."

She wasn't being intentionally ironic! Important

May be she was meaning that the deal could be good for the UK and the Scots should wait and see.

Seems reasonable to me.

If it turns out to be bad, then they can go runing cap in hand to the EU.

Pretty much win win, either stay a parasite on UK or if that falls through try the EU.

No i don't like to call people parasites, I don't know them personally, I call one country that depends heavily on another parasitic. It's not disimilar to people saying the unemployed are parasites, technically we are, I'm a parasite on society (as I've been made fully aware off), but individually per person, there can be reasons for it.

And no, I'll give Scotland a miss, becasue I knew some one from UNI who went to Glasgow. He opened his mouth once to ask directions and the person just punched him out for no other reason than he had an English accent.

But, it is exactly what sturgeon is doing, LETS MAKE SCOTLAND INDEPENDANT, WOOO HOOO, you horrid sasananks (erm, we can get in the EU right?). Do you think she would be pressing so hard for independence if the EU said no and never?

I noticed they used the classic Blairite defence of "but the other parties did it as well" Rolleyes

Still, pay a big fine and avoid a load of expense on by-elections... hmm...

The Tory win in 2015, and all bills passed by them should have been been declared null and void.
We might not be in the situation we are now.
