Not sure it helps but my old(ish) Sony Freeview box/recorder happily receives Extreme (although I've stopped using it for many of the reasons described on this thread), whereas my nearly new state of the art Toshiba HD TV doesn't. So it does seem that separate boxes might be better than built-in Freeview.
I'm afraid it's probably trial and error. I'd suggest trying a cheap set top box to begin with so there's not too much lost if it doesn't work. Appreciate it's not really something you can go into Currys and ask them to demonstrate access to Extreme before you buy!

I use a Thompson box/freeview+ recorder and a Panasonic freeview+ DVD/hard drive recorder to view Xtreme and both work OK, neither will record the show by the way and the screen initially goes black until i change channel and then return to Xtreme , both then work OK.
The BS rep once made a post saying that they had tested loads of different makes/models for compatibility purposes , so the BS rep may know or have access to info concerning which freeview appliances are or are not compatible ..

The only way this channel would be worth watching, is if they make it like how xxxlive use to be.

Not so much as a recommendation as a suggestion any freeview box would do but I got pissed of with babestation so got sky. Ok more channels better babes and seeing as xtreme is full of babes off sexstation money well spent.

Yes effectively the type of show that Sexstation TV airs for free Babestation will charge £5 to see. I'd be happy if they scrapped XTreme altogether and instead offered us Sexstation TV as a subscription channel on SKY/Freeview instead, I suppose there is still a market for this type of show on the big screen so that's why XTreme will continue to make their money.

Bs xtreme would be so much better if they just ditched the unbelievebly shit porn films from the mid 90s ect and just have it same format as normal bs but with the girls showing everything... I'm assuming from the comments that Xtreme was the usual con last night i.e. certain girls go on and do full frontal and the others e.g. Charlie are simply advertised to lure people in? In any case how would they actually fit 5 girls into that tiny space?

did charlie actually appear on bsx?
