It would be pretty gormless for Trump to do a fast deal (and even more for May to accept it), before we're even out of the bloody EU.

We can't legally anyway until we leave the EU. Trump has previously stated his objection to free trade deals and as he has a track record of refusing to pay up on contracts I'd trust what he says as much as I'd trust his best mate Putin.

It's certainly better than the back of the queue comments (which in my opnion push waverers into voting out).

From what I have seen May doesn't seem to be massive fan of Trump, but, he will soon be in charge of one of the the most powerful countries in the world.

The only thing is, the UK has been making moves in China for awhile.

Ozzy* made great play of sucking up to China, and whilst they're not the "evil empire" that some in the US seem to reckon, I suspect Thezza and Trump will find some common ground on the place (or other places).

Hmnm her 12 point plan for clean Brexit - doesn't seem that clean a divorce to me and there's every chance still the Supreme court could scupper it...

I think we know what it is like to have China as a trading partner - you only have to see the effects of any business with China has had with what has happened with Tata Steel

EU can look at it and give way on 7, really. The extremist nutters like IDS or Farage will want all 12, but there's no chance they'll get that many. Unless they're so flimsy as to be not worth the bother anyway.
